Hi there! The name's Rosy 🐰I'm here to teach you all about sensory design! As a baby's body & mind grow, it's important to recognize how colors, sounds, surfaces & scents afffect their development & behavior. When designing a nursery for delicate, impressionable babies, it's important to keep these key things in mind:
1.) Infants are sensory and visually percieve their surroundings differently. Keep their space as clean & clutter free as possible.
2.) Select soft, diffused lighting. Whether it be a celing fixture that is covered with frosted glass or a table lamp that doesn't give off harsh light, these kinds of lighting make for a less stimulating space.
3.) Most children are drawn to animals. Hang wall coverings & art that portray happy images such as baby animals!
4.) Select paint colors that are relaxing & toxin free.
5.) Smell is the strongest sense in our body. Infants have have a very keen sense of smell. Use organic arompatherapy in their space to calm or stimulate.
Choosing cruelty-free nursery decor saves animals & the world. Humane alternatives, due to their soft touch and light smells, are the perfect fit for any nursery.
